He wondered should he made cookies, or he should do something else, maybe some big cake with chocolate...

B-day gift for my dear friend,her OC Luciana!

This time, one day late, not one day earlier like last year.. Shadow in the background was purely evil, and didn't like posing

With amusement when I browsed through my gallery to see my gift for her from last year, I realized that once again, I was inspired by same drawing:

And as well, a great little text it her gallery:

Forever a child He was something like what nightmares were made of. It was strange; he once promised her a better life, now that she was no longer a princess. Ever since she was abandoned by her own father and given away to the world to perish alone. But all he wanted, all he had a taste for was her blood.

She remembered his promise to give her something of a better life in exchange for her blood; he gave her dolls that resembled her own appearance, a bed and food. But as time went by, night after night of having him bite into the delicate flesh of her neck and wrists, drinking what life she had within her veins, she b

It can be interpreted on many ways, as you feel like it, but for me, let's say that it represents a girl who deserved good life and childhood, but didn't get it. Instead, she is forced to stop believing in good in this world, a beautiful white flower, because it was taken away from her by evil.. Tricked and hurt, over and over again, she is emotionally broken from life expereinces,and can't return back to her innocence, because it's tarnished, like flower missing petals.. But she still forgot not the sprinkler with which she watered it.. And, in world that was not kind to her, but cruel, she still kept her own good heart, and pure soul that is hiding behind all the traumas...
But there is another part of her life.. She was tricked by a vampire to give him blood, and he turned her into one of his own.. And now, there is another part of her nature, vampirish one, that follows her like a shadow.. Wanting to consume her... Claiming that, sooner or later, she will see that she can't escape it.. That it's indeed just a matter of time..

I didn't explain it very well, but I feel how it should be by looking at the drawing.. Er. I am really bad with explanations...
Yes, I know, I am.... unique.. Deal with it

As well, I must say, I really finally realized that Luciana actually is not going to grow up.. Yes.. I am really strange person... Or, to my defense, I must say, at one point, I felt very frustrated that almost all people were drawing Luciana in her 20s, not in her 7, and had tricked me that way... This is just a by side note to myself, if I got it right, I hope; She really is not going to grow up...
And my first thought when I realized it, was *omg.. child forever.. nooononoonon

As well, what proves very hard and a bit annoying to me as an artist, is that every single time her outfit is different.. She never wears exactly the same.. So I improvised a bit on that, I hope it fits.. She can't wear long sleeves all the time, of course.. What she would do in a summer?

Heya, thank you so much for this. Once again, this and the text you wrote is really amazing and thank you so much.. I can feel the words and her fear in the picture. I love all the symbolism in this picture, the timepiece, the rose and the chains, the hooded figure.. Like death, almost.

I love that her outfit isn;t always the same. I love variety.. which I also must say that eventually in the story she does grow up to be a woman.. (which is why I get some of these adulthood pictures) but it just takes a veeeeery long time for it to happen and for her to break the vampires curse so to speak.. but even then she isn't totally mature in mind and spirit. Makes sense? I think even though she does grow up eventually she isn't very much an adult still. A broken mind.

Well, this work really passed through lot if lineworks.. First sketch, one thing I am definitely not proud of, actually was only her, holding a torn out flower and crying.. But it just didn't want to cooperate.. Then, I wanted her to run away from some dark place into the light.. Then,running away from vampire or her father, and while running, watering ground from which flowers would start to bloom... But then, I suddenly got inspiration, and decided to do this. As far as I know, it really could be the Death itself.. Wanna come closer to ask it who it really is?

As for outfit, I love variety too, but it can be a little bit tough for an artist, because he doesn't know, from all the clothes, which one you like the most, so he has to take blind queses.. Not pretty

As for growing up, I must say, I am a little bit relieved, I was afraid that I messed up with b-day from last year, when I made her look more adult.. I am glad that she will eventually brake the curse and grow up, even if it will take time to be hard to accomplish

So yes, now that you mention it.. I think the hooded figure could very well be the vampire that turned her or be her father.

I love that idea actually because it would make so much sense.

Oh no, you definitely did not mess up the last birthday present. I loved it very much! Thank you! Because after everything she goes through and her tragic life, I really did want her to have some sort of happy-ish ending.
