There is Always a Reason for Everything
A Reason to Live
A Reason to Die
A Reason to Cry
But
If you cant Find a Reason to Smile.
Then Can I be the Reason for a While? (:

Through, title says it all, doesn't? When I finally was left with only naming it.. Inspiration finally run out XD
I must state, for very, very first, than I am left handed, but that, for the sake of composition, I took pictures with right hand :D
This is my finally finished entry for :iconendorell-taelos:'s winter contest:

Hello everyone! It's that time of year when the air becomes colder and snowflakes begin to fall from the heavens, the landscape becomes covered by a blanket of white.. (depending on where you are in the world that is. :'D ) So, do you know what that calls for?! That's right an OC Winter/Yule/Christmas Contest! (I decided to launch the contest eight days ahead of schedule since the positive results on my recent polls asked for them.)

FINAL NEWS

Her OC princess Luciana, and my OC light wizard Liron, first shy, vulnerable, suspicious and mistrustful toward strangers, the other open and intrusively keen to be friendly to everyone he just cast his look upon... What would had became if two of them met on one place, by the strange twist of circumstances ( aka curious artist? ;) )

EDIT1:I WON THE FIRST PLACE: [link] :squee:

EDIT 2: AND, OMGOMGOMGOMGOMG a DD! :wow: Oh, I ma so happy, thank you so so so much! :iconexcitedlaplz:

For beginning, I just must state:
EACH FRAME WAS DRAWN TRADITIONALLY WITH PENCIL, ONLY HANDS AND A BIT OF COLOR WAS ADDED LATER IN PHOTOSHOP!
How? Lot patience, and never giving up :icondeterminationplz:

Lol, so excited about how I will pass, it was such grand project, it took hours and hours of my time and tons and tons of my love for passed few months! :happybounce:

At first, while I was writing the storyline, I wanted to make it not long.. But my little wizard needed time and patience to win a little bit of trust from the princess.. Just like little help of unusual circumstances they found themselves in, of course. That's why, from first idea of making couple panels, this turned into 46 paneled comic :dead:
And, yes, it was left without text on purpose... I wanted to leave all space for feelings, for self interpretation, for drawings showing what I wanted to do, rather than words.. It was a bit hard to came up with timeline for that, but at the end, you would surprise what determination and practice can do :squee:

All frames were previously planned ( only that planning and canalizing inspiration took me days.. Lol, I really am slow artist *dies on spot from shame* )

How it was done, was basically this:

1) planned out everything on paper
2) created design for characters
3) practiced different poses untll I was satisfied
4) drawn each single frame on A5 paper ( made those from cutting A4 papers on half ; )
- first I would draw sketch on spare paper
- once satisfied with postures and rough outcome, I would redraw it on frame paper.
- at the end, if I would dislike some frames, I would redraw them again.. *sigh* And since I am nail picking.. actually, more than half of those frames were, since I progressed while doing this comic, redrawn again.. *faints*
5) once all was drawn, I scanned each frame and saved to memory
6) combined them all in photoshop
7) added a tiny trace of colors to places where Liron is using magic
8) looking at frames, I took around 20 photos of each hand that was meant for one frame with my camera
9) choosed the ones that turned out best to put them on final product.
10) put everything together and voila! :boogie:

Special thanks to my sister Ana-Maria, for buying me cute blue pencil for photos posing, and for, while I was drawing, always repeating on each my frame that it was worthless all until I would work on it for hours until she would finally agree it's perfect.. Thank sis, I actually really wouldn't have done this so nice without you pushing me forward and making me drain the best of me. Yours *it's so cute now* were so much sweeter after all of * ears are big, eyes are messy, head is strange* (: :tighthug:

Uh.. I am finally satisfied.. Now, when I managed to reach deadline in time, I finally can relax, take a breath, and hope at least every 100th person sees my effort invested into this work and favs it.... * seriously, people, please fav, save my self esteem from withering :iconsnivelplz: *
-----------------------------------
At the end, a little tip for beginners who are not sure if they should try making comics - never give up. If you want encouragement... Check out how my first awkward tries to design cute outfits and appearance for those two - and it was only month-two of hard work ago [link] :rose:

Shy princess, elven wizard and moody artist by *DragonRider3 is another visually stunning comic work with a lovely story line. Truly a masterpiece sprouted from perseverance and patience in drawing this frame by frame.

I am glad that it made such big impact on you... It really warms my heart, every time I hear someone loves it, but when you say it, it's even more cuddly and fluffy feeling! :iconifeelfluffyplz:
I am glad I managed to make something you like so much. If you trust me, at a time I am was making it, there were many times it was getting just too tricky and wasn't turning out right, that I wanted to quit, thinking I probably am just not gifted in making comics... but then I would remember you.. And well => Come on character, cooperate! If you don't want to, I will make you! :icondeterminationplz: ( :giggle:)

Very very cute and such an imaginative way to tell a story. It's funny to find out you're left handed. I was thinking the pencil looked awkward in your hand. Now I know why. :giggle:

Hhehe, what can I say, lefty really can't pretend he's righty...
You just, for no particular reason, reminded me on a quote, that says: Everyone is born right handed, only some people overcome it, hehe :giggle:
